Tip 14: Summer Outfits - Travel Tips
By Miguel Flores 7 months agoEverythime we have an upcoming trip there´s always a big question: What should I bring? So, as this is our travel tips section of the blog, we thought of giving away some travel packing wisdom and made up a list with our packing essentials and today its so much fun because its has to do with whats really really important: styling and clothing.
The temperaturas are higher and so are the skirts, follow these styling advice and be cooler than anyone else this summer:
- Comfortable Shoes:
A cool pair of sport shoes is always welcome when you are vacationing, specially if you plan to do some extreme adventures such as ziplining or driving ATVs in the jungle. It doesn´t matter if you are a boyo r a girl, a teenager or a granpa, the good old Converse will work just fine or if you´d rather use some wet shoes, the better!
- Swimsuit:
One piece, shorts, bikini, trikini, mankini, the options are endless and are a basic ítem for the summer, it doesn´t matter if you are catching waves in Los Cabos, snorkeling in a cenote driving beach buggies or flying above the trees, you never know when you are going to need it.
- Flipflops/Sandals:
A summer basic. Do we need to say anything more?
- Shorts:
Denim, linen, surf, bermudas, high waisted, hipsters, patterened, striped, white, pink, turquoise, the options are endless and while you are vacationing you can always dress them up or down according to the situation. Not so much weight in your luggae and life savers for almost any occasion, shorts are a win=win situation!
- Jeans:
Jeans go with basically anything, there are a few places like restaurants and nightclubs that have a dress code that includes a longer versión of shorts… or pants, that is. Still they are a great choice for an outdoor adventure and for travelling since sometimes airplanes can be quite cold.
- T-shirts:
Basics really, a plain white t-shirt or very colorful ones won´t add much weight to your suitcase and will be a nice beach cover up… or something.
- Cardigan/Light Sweater or Jacket:
Again with the dress code. There are certain restaurants, scaled restaurants mostly that will ask you to wear a light jacket and that should be fine! Think of this when you plan your romantic dinner or keep in mind that again, light jackets and cardigans are very useful on planes as well.
- Basic Skirt/Dress:
That time of the year for flowy summer dresses and skirts is back and the girls at Olympus couldn´t be happier about it! Show off your tanned legs with a variety of skirts that go from mini to maxi and flow like a greek goddess while looking at the sunset on a boat.
- Blouse/Tank Tops:
They go with all the amazing shorts and skirts mentioned above, dressing up and down and making any outfit. You know, some demeanor never hurt anybody.
- Basic Long Sleeve Shirt:
We do think about the men but you know, its always easier for them. Keep a long sleeve cotton shirt in your suitcase for those dress code situations… asking the love of your life to marry you (for example) should always require some etiquette.
