Travel Tip 11: Travel Apps – Travel Tips
For many years now mobile connectivity has been taking over the travel world, either you travel with your laptop or in recent years with your tablet or smartphone has made easier to work while being at the airport, on a plane, at your hotel or on the road. So, keeping that in mind, we decided to ask our Groups&Incentives team which are, in their opinión, the best travel app in this edition of Travel Tips.
Wise and avid travellers as they are, here is what they said:
- JetLag Genie:
Do you want to avoid jet lag? Then this app is your best friend. It helps you create an action plan before leaving base don your flightplan and sleeping routine. With very easy steps and reminders of activities such as wake up, get sunshine, take melatonine or change the time of your watch will help you to feel better and enjoy your trip.
- XE Currency:
Forget about trying to figure out what the exchange rate is going to be before leaving your hotel room. Free, Accurate, easy to use and FREE.
- TravelSafe Pro:
How does having huge emergency number database on your phone sounds? All this information plus embassy numbers and addresses are available of about every country you could ever visit. It is a paid app so, we would say is only for those who might be a Little paranoid about traveling.
- FourSquare:
Good old FourSquare seemed to have left but is still the best geo localization app available, despite Google Map´s reing, in some countries addresses and maps just either don´t go along or the address of a certain place changed and the owner forgot to tell Google about it. But FourSquare is different because the users are the ones who are able to upload the information, tips and photos of a certain place. Get perks for first check-ins and know your way around any area.
- Tripcase:
This is our favorite of all travel apps. Tripcase is free, easy to use and basically has everything we could ever ask for. Upload your travel information as flight number, schedules, hotel, activities and Tripcase will take care of the rest. Flight delayed? Tripcase will tell you even before the airlines does. Weather conditions? Tripcase has the info. Restaurants nearby? Tripcase will tell you all about it. You can also share your travel itinerary with your VIPs so they know how to reach you or if your flight is delayed. Isn´t that wonderful?
So, there you have them, these apps will make your life easier(if you happen to travel a lot) and if not, they are probably come in handy for your next trip.
